Dear Kids Campus Families,

We are missing our daily contact with each of you and of course the children too. The SFCC president, Becky Rowley, announced earlier this week that the college and all its departments will remain closed through the rest of the semester; May 16th.

The teachers came in today to retrieve plants, materials and class lists. They will be reaching out to each of you in small groups in the coming weeks. It’s a tough time for all of us and we are coping with many challenges and changes to our normal routines.

We do have staff interested in babysitting so if you are in need, please contact the kids.campus@sfcc.edu website – use the blog tab. Billing is suspended beginning April 1st. All CYFD contracts remain in place through June 2020. As more information becomes available we will continue to share. There are many resources for families which we will provide.

For now, we wish you good health and good times with your children.

We are thinking of each of you and hoping that our community can stay resilient through this difficult time and emerge stronger and more connected than ever.

With gratitude and hope,

Michelle, Amelia, Ashly, Deya

Our staff is thrilled that Governor Michelle Lujan Grisham feels at home at Kids Campus and is a strong supporter of early childhood programs! In March the governor visited our program for a second time with her granddaughter and Mark Shriver, CEO of Save the Children Foundation. They read books with the Early Pre K children, played with them outside, and spoke with SFCC and Kids Campus staff. We are proud to have this recognition from both local and national figures and hope that this helps promote awareness of the need to increase early childhood programs and to build and fairly compensate a strong work force in our field.

If you have 2 minutes (literally) watch the wonderful video produced the day of the visit to Kids Campus:
